Pots from Cardiff-based ceramicist George Akerman, created as part of M.A.D.E.'s "The Associates - Clay & Vapour" Residency Programme.
"In 2023, Cardiff M.A.D.E. selected three associates to join the first of our practice based residency schemes; Clay and Vapour, designed and led by professional ceramicist, Jack Welbourne and a team of mentors.
Combining tutored masterclasses and making, participants were introduced to new concepts and techniques, drawing on expertise of their mentors. The project aimed to push the creative boundaries for the artists involved and develop an exciting collective body of new work to be exhibited in the gallery.
