'Rob is a Cardiff based ceramic artist who specialises in hand building highly coloured items in earthenware, stoneware and porcelain clays. He utilises an intricate Japanese pottery technique Nerikomi, where different coloured clays are combined to create intricate patterns within the clay body itself, rather than being applied as surface decoration. He utilises oxides and stains to obtain a range of colours. He then works these into carefully crafted vessels of various shapes and sizes.'
