Meet our current featured maker George Akerman with his selection of ceramic homeware and tableware.

I am a multidisciplinary maker with a mechanical engineering background. I am deeply rooted in functional objects for everyday use, be it furniture, tableware, lighting or clothes. I have always sought to understand the world by acquiring new skills and learning how things are made.

This diverse web of skills and interests is present in everything I create. In making I seek to revive the appreciation for the craftsmanship of everyday objects, offering a deeper connection between individuals and the items they interact with.
